Lifeguard — Camp McLean (Langley, BC)


This position is anticipated to begin on-site on June 27th and will work full-time hours (35 hours per week), for an 8 week commitment, until August 19, 2022Further information regarding mandatory training dates & the official start date will be confirmed in the onboarding process.                                                               


  1. Responsible for the safety and well-being of all swimmers and campers in the pool area with a goal of 0 accidents
  2. Plan and implementation of water activities for all campers attending the water program
  3. Maintain proper chemical levels in the pool
  4. Assist with other camp duties as needed


  1. National Lifesaving Certification
  2. Valid First Aid and CPR Certification
  3. Valid Criminal Record Check or willing to obtain one (n/a to applicants under the age of 18)
  4. Successful applicant will be required to complete the Scouts Canada Screening and Training requirements
  5. Enthusiasm
  6. Strong Interpersonal and Group Management Skills
  7. Ability to work within a Team Environment
  8. Experience working with children would be an asset
  9. Ability to engage youth in planning and facilitating pool games and activities
  10. A desire to have FUN 


This is a contract position and a total salary, commensurate with skill and experience, will be established for the contract period.

Declaration of vaccination status will be requested upon hire in addition to a clean Police Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Screening.
