The Central Escarpment Council serves approximately 6,700 youth and adult members through more than 100 Scouting groups in South Western Ontario. Central Escarpment Council is proud to serve from Mississauga through to Waterloo Region and from Burlington / Oakville north to Alton. Included in our 7 service areas are the cities of Brampton, and Guelph--as well as dozens of small communities and rural centres.
When you look at our Council Crest, you'll notice that the foreground represents the safe and exciting Scouting Adventures our youth members will have. In particular, the rock face represents the Niagara Escarpment. The Niagara Escarpment is not only the central point within our Council but acknowledges our previous Council Crest. The background represents the number of cities and towns that reside in Central Escarpment Council.
With every new member, with every camp and every community service project, Scouts Canada makes one simple promise to Canadian youth, parents and society:
Scouts have fun adventures discovering new things and experiences they wouldn’t discover elsewhere. Along the way they develop into capable, confident and well-rounded individuals, better prepared for success in the world. Scouts is the start of something great.
It starts with Scouts.
