Mush-a-Mush

The Mush-A-Mush Scout Camp is 30+ acres of mixed woodland and fields on the shore of Big Mush-A-Mush Lake in the heart of Lunenburg County Nova Scotia. The camp features a main lodge with a large multipurpose room and kitchen. The lodge can be used for winter camping, or a meal hall/ craft room for larger camps. There are five cabins along the edge of the field. For older Scouts and Venturers, there is also an Adirondack available.

  • The camp is located on the shores of Big Mush-A-Mush Lake, with over a 1500 feet of beautiful shoreline.There are canoes and kayaks for rent with all required safety gear. There is canoe training available upon request.

  • Rental Fees 

     - All Scouting Groups - $6.00 per youth, per night with a $20 minimum booking

    - All Other Organizations ( youth orgs. including Guides and Cadets) - $10.00 per person per night, with a  $50 minimum booking

     

    Single day use charged as one night fee.

    Camp Crests are available at a cost of $3.00 each.

    Canoe Rentals:

    There are 10 canoes, and 10 kayaks available for rent. The cost is determined on a case by case basis. The lessee also agrees to provide his/her credit card information as a damage deposit to be used only if all or some of the equipment is lost or damaged. Rentals include the equipment required for the safe operation of the canoes and/or kayaks and PFDs as requested.

     

    The cost of rental is $5 per person per night that you have the camp rented.

    The camp can only be booked by calling the Atlantic Service Center @ 902-423-9227 or 1-800-557-7268  OR by emailing your rental agreement form to atlantic.membershipservices@scouts.ca

    Cheques, cash, debit or credit card will be accepted for camp rentals. Please make payable to Scouts Canada - Nova Scotia Council. Payment must be received when picking up the keys.

    Every effort is made to try and maximize the use of the camp, including avoiding last minute cancellations. If your group cancels for any reason other than bad weather at a time when the camp was requested by another group, there will be a penalty charge of up to 100% of your confirmed rental.

    If you are the first Scouting group to book the camp for a certain time-frame, you may be contacted by the registrar to see if you would be willing to share your time at the camp with another Scouting group.
