Vancouver Island Wolf Howl and Spring Challenge

Level Up Your Adventure!

Level up your Adventure!!

Wolf Howl - Cubs

Spring Challenge - Scouts

Senior Sections Subcamp - Venturers and Rovers

This year all camps are sharing one theme. Level up your Adventure is based on a popular game style called Role Playing Games* (RPG) and both Spring Challenge and Wolf Howl will consist of a Main Quest* and 8 Side Quests* to be completed. Successful participation in each Side Quest will give youth a chance to demonstrate all the competencies for Scoutcraft 2 or 4. OAS badges are not included in camp fee as we feel Scouters and senior youth will want to evaluate their own youth before awarding the badge.

Costumes and Props are highly encouraged! However, we ask participants to leave real weapons, prop guns/explosives, and gore at home. Since there is no specific Genre your group could include a mix of fantasy, sci-fi, superhero, spy, soldier, historical, steampunk etc characters. Themed site gateways are encouraged – but not mandatory- as are decorations, banners, or other theme embellishments. Imagination is your only limit but please keep in mind that this is an active Scout camp so fragile or complicated costumes may become broken, lost, or be too much of a challenge to move in.

WOLF HOWL Registration HERE!

Wolf Howl this year is for Cub Packs and their 3rd year Beavers/White Tails. We have overnight and day trip options. Cabin spaces are limited so most Packs and all Scouters will be tenting in their own tents on Thompson Field or around one of the Cabin circles. (Cabins will be assigned by the Admin team based off of order of registration and participant needs) All meals are provided by our fantastic foods team. Saturday lunch is eaten in the field so please bring a cooler labeled with your Group name which to leave with the check in table on Friday evening. A member of your group will need to collect it for lunch time on Saturday.

*You are responsible for submitting your MAAF to your Group Committee, and ensuring your section meets BP&P including ratio.

*When you register your section, you will be asked to identify a Scouter to volunteer as an Offer of Service at camp. This Scouter is separate from you section ratio team and will not cost your group money. The sooner we are in contact with that person the more choices they will have in what roles need to be filled

Please bring the materials you might need for those projects in addition to personal and section gear. The knife permit MAY be included by a knife permit session pending enough interest.
