As we return to Scouting in various stages across Canada, I am excited to announce the Senate Speaker Series, a new youth-led initiative that will further engage the Scouting community this fall.
Scouts Canada has teamed up with the Senate of Canada to host a series of virtual sessions in which Council Youth Commissioners will interview various Senators on topics that are pressing for today’s youth, including: Youth Leadership, Mental & Physical Wellbeing, Gender Equality.
The Senate Speaker Series will seek to boost civic engagement among young people, encouraging them to get involved in areas that they are passionate about. Join us for our first session, "A Day in the Life of a Senator", with Senator Paula Simons of Alberta and Senator Vern White of Ontario.
