Call for Volunteers— Key 3 Roles for Strategic Plan initiative

Scouts Canada is looking for motivated volunteers and youth members to fill “Key 3” roles as part of our Strategic Plan initiative.

Each portfolio will form a “Key 3”, a shared leadership model consisting of two volunteers, one of which must be a youth, and a member of Scouts Canada’s staff. Reporting directly to the National Key 3, these teams will be co-equal decision makers who will be collectively responsible for different pillars of the Strategic Plan and Scouts Canada’s operations.Each will be tasked with recruiting a team of volunteers and youth to work with existing staff and volunteers to accomplish the priorities in the 2021 Strategic Plan.

Scouts Canada is about to embark on our organization’s Reconciliation journey, which lies at the heart of Scouts Canada’s work towards creating a culture of authentic inclusion for all who want to belong to our movement.

Communications Functional Team — External Communications

Working closely with the External Communications stream and Communications Functional Team, the Social Media Advisor – Coach is a self-motivator who leads social media best practices implementation, blending the Social Media Advisor role with a coaching component.

This role requires knowledge of Scouts Canada’s organizational values and programming, and involves working closely with our membership through organized social media webinars to empower volunteers to manage their own Scouts Canada Sections, Group, Council or camp pages.
