International Delegate

Hey, you! Yes, you! Are you a Venturer or Rover Scout between the ages of 17 and 26? Do you want to have the opportunity to represent Canada at international webinars, events, and conferences? If you answered yes to all three, then this is the chance for you. Scouts Canada's International Team is looking for FANTASTIC and ENTHUSIASTIC youth just like you to become an International Delegate.

The role of an International Delegate is to represent Canada to the world.

Think of it as an opportunity to develop public speaking, cultural sensitivity, leadership, decision making, and so much more. The possibilities are endless. You could be representing Canada on an online webinar with the entire Interamerican Scout Region and reporting back on what you have done. You may also get the opportunity to represent Canada at the Interamerican Leadership Training or the World Scout Conference. One thing is for sure—you will expand your horizons and develop the competencies you have obtained in Scouting. You will have the chance to showcase your skills to the world.

For you to qualify, you must meet the following requirements: 

  • Be between 17-26 years old
  • Be a member in good standing with Scouts Canada
  • Have the passion the explore new opportunities
  • Be able to work as a team
  • Be ready to be put in new situations that will challenge you

We will select International Delegates quarterly. Send your application on or before March 31, June 30, September 30, and December 31.

Please submit a CV and a cover letter, to publicappts@scouts.ca, outlining why you want to be an International Delegate and why you deserve the opportunity to represent Canada on the world stage.
