CEC is excited to have you to meet our newest Group Commissioner, Chantal Simpson, for 1st Homelands. Please find a bio from Chantal below:
My name is Chantal and I am the new Co-Group Commissioner for the 1st Homelands Scout Group in Mississauga, Ontario.
I grew up in Brampton, and participated in Girl Guides from Sparks right up to Camp Leader at Wyoka!
Before my first son was born, I became a graduate of the first class of the Event Management Program at Humber College. I also hold a Bachelors of Arts in English from Glendon College-York University.
I have two boys that keep me on my toes, and are both active members in the Scouting Community.
I am currently the Contact Scouter for the 1st Homelands Beavers and I love it!
During the Summer months, you can find me Coaching on the baseball diamond. Teaching and leading is in my veins!
When I heard that the 1st Homelands was in need of some help, there was no doubt in mind that this was my calling.
I look forward to spending many years with 1st Homelands and Scouts Canada!
